Virginia Film Festival sets The Debut for opening night

The 39th festival has named its opening, centrepiece and closing films ahead of its October 21–25 run.

The Virginia Film Festival has named Jesse Eisenberg’s The Debut as its October 21 opening-night film. Julianne Moore plays a shy woman drawn into a local musical under the influence of its director, played by Paul Giamatti. The festival runs October 21–25 in Charlottesville.
