Allplay’s campaign preview sets October 27 for the Kickstarter launch of Through the Mountains, Reiner Knizia’s sequel to Through the Desert. Players will extend routes through mountain passes by placing two yaks on each turn, with new Valley and Temple mechanics adding races across the board. The deluxe edition is

planned with resin yaks and metal leader tokens. Allplay is also preparing a deluxe Through the Desert edition, including resin camels and oases, with an upgrade kit for existing owners. The campaign page introduces two additional games: Triskel, a remake of Kory Heath’s Uptown built around tile placement and capturing

opposing clusters, and 5 of a Kind, a shedding game with a deckbuilding element. The October date concerns crowdfunding opening; the preview does not establish a retail release or delivery date. Read the official source. Image: Allplay; official Through the Mountains campaign artwork.
