Quiztopia sets December 17 for its eight-episode manga adaptation

Netflix has dated the Japanese dystopian series and released a teaser with an expanded cast.

Netflix’s eight-episode Japanese series Quiztopia will premiere globally on December 17. A new teaser accompanies the date and names 16 additions to the cast around Takayuki Yamada, who plays the programme’s host, KK. The live-action series adapts the manga written by Reiichi Sugimoto and illustrated by Shinkichi Kato.

In its alternate Japan, a televised quiz show wields state power: winning contestants can claim extraordinary rewards while eliminated players face punishment.
