LOUD and NRG open Champions Shanghai playoffs with 2–0 wins

Riot’s official match feed records LOUD beating Paper Rex and NRG beating T1 on October 7 as Champions Shanghai moves into its double-elimination playoff bracket.

LOUD and NRG won the opening day of the VALORANT Champions Shanghai playoffs on October 7. Riot’s official event feed records both series as completed 2–0 results: LOUD over Paper Rex and NRG over T1. The results keep the two winning teams in the upper bracket. The losers remain in contention through the lower bracket

because Champions uses double elimination for its eight-team playoffs. Riot’s tournament overview specifies best-of-three playoff matches, with best-of-five series for the lower final and grand final. The official schedule lists Paper Rex against T1 on October 9 and LOUD against NRG on October 10; those are upcoming

fixtures, rather than results. The accompanying photograph shows LOUD’s lukxo and erde during the earlier October 4 group-stage day.
