La Bola Negra trailer links three lives across Spanish history

Netflix's new trailer spans 1932, 1937 and 2017 ahead of a limited North American cinema rollout and December streaming date.

The new trailer for La Bola Negra connects three gay men's lives across 1932, 1937 and 2017. Directors Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi built the film around an inherited secret; its characters include a would-be social club member, a Spanish Civil War soldier and a modern historian investigating his family's past.

Netflix's September 28 trailer feature names Milo Quifes, Guitarricadelafuente and Carlos González in those roles. The film draws on Alberto Conejero's play La piedra oscura and an unfinished Federico García Lorca manuscript. Netflix says it opens in New York and Los Angeles cinemas on October 16 before expanding to
