D&D Beyond Maps now lets DMs reveal their own images and video

Master Tier subscribers can drop custom visual material into Maps sessions, with JPG, PNG, WebP, WebM and MP4 supported at launch.

A game master can now show a custom picture or video directly to players in D&D Beyond's Maps virtual tabletop. The new Custom Reveals feature lets a Master Tier subscriber drag a file from their computer into a session's Reveals area and display it to the group. The official walkthrough lists JPG, PNG and WebP for

still images, plus WebM and MP4 for video. That opens a practical route for homebrew locations, handouts and creature art alongside the book illustrations already available in Maps. The article illustrates the workflow with its own interface screenshots. This first version uses session-based uploads. Wizards says

custom stickers, token art and a fuller uploads library are planned, while animated GIF support is still to come. Those later features are not part of the current launch. For groups preparing a session now, the concrete change is the ability to put their own visual clue on the table without sending everyone to a
