Konami’s official Steam listing now marks Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse as released, with an October 14 date for that edition. Developed with Evil Empire, the action RPG takes Trevor Belmont and his daughter Rose into a monster-stricken Paris in 1499. Rose uses the Vampire Killer whip for combat and traversal, including
swinging through the environment. The equipment system adds weapons from seven categories and Relics with offensive and defensive effects, letting players build around items discovered while exploring. Defeated bosses become Arcana sealed in Rose’s tarot cards, granting spells and special actions. The listed encounters
include Death, Medusa and Carmilla alongside a new Joan of Arc boss. The date here refers specifically to the Steam release. Read the official source. Image: Official Steam promotional screenshot: KONAMI, Evil Empire; publisher KONAMI..
