The Game Bakers has released On the Trail: Deep Water, a free addition to Cairn that takes Aava and Marco back to the period before the ascent of Mount Kami. The October 29 announcement describes three climbing locations: a demanding gym, a sea stack and an island built around deep-water climbing. The routes connect to

challenges left by climber Otto Mondo. The accompanying update also adds Free Roam on Mount Kami. Players can return to previously reached bivouacs and explore as Marco, whose climbing style changes the approach to familiar routes. The studio says the base game must be updated before launching the expansion, making

that the first step for returning players. Image: The Game Bakers, via official Steam store. Official image source.
