Ali Hazelwood's Bad in Bed puts a full cast at the centre of an audio-first romance

Audible's new original is due globally in English on October 22, led by Brooke Bloomingdale and Teddy Hamilton.

Ali Hazelwood has written an Audible Original for sound from the outset. Audible announced Bad in Bed on 17 September, with a global English-language release set for 22 October 2026. Brooke Bloomingdale and Teddy Hamilton lead a duet performance alongside a full cast. Audible calls it Hazelwood's first full-cast

audiobook and her first original made specifically for the service. The romantic comedy follows doctoral student Billie van Buren after a public breakup damages her confidence. A statistics collaboration with medical fellow Maxwell Austin grows into a more personal arrangement. The audio format is a meaningful part of

this announcement: listeners deciding between editions should know this was conceived as a performance, rather than an existing print novel simply receiving narration.
