Suntup reveals three letterpress editions of Cormac McCarthy's Child of God

The September 24 reveal pairs Barry Moser woodcuts with an afterword by John Banville; wider numbered-edition ordering depends on remaining stock.

Suntup Editions revealed its fine-press Child of God on 24 September, presenting Cormac McCarthy's novel in three limited states. All include twelve woodcuts by Barry Moser, a new John Banville afterword and letterpress printing. Suntup estimates publication in summer 2027, so the current announcement concerns ordering

a future edition rather than an immediate shipment. The Artist Edition is limited to 750 copies, signed by Moser, with a stated preorder price of $245. The Numbered Edition is limited to 250, signed by Moser and Banville, and priced at $675 during preorder. Twenty-six Lettered copies are priced at $3,500 during

preorder and include a separate woodblock print. These are materially different bindings and print runs, which makes the state distinction important to collectors. Suntup first offers Numbered and Lettered copies to owners of its preceding The Bell Jar edition through a matching preorder. It says any remaining copies

may be available on Saturday 26 September at 9 a.m. Pacific, potentially by lottery rather than direct purchase. The Artist Edition has a separate preorder link on the product page. Check the live store for stock, shipping and tax before ordering; the publisher warns that finished copies may differ slightly from the
