Erik Larsen’s early Savage Dragon stories are being collected in a new first compendium. Image Comics announced the paperback September 4, with comic-shop availability on November 18 and a broader bookstore release on December 15. The volume contains The Dragon #1–5 , the expanded version of the original miniseries,

alongside Savage Dragon #1–44 . That makes it a substantial starting collection rather than a selection from recent issues. A separate Direct Market cover is planned exclusively for comic shops on November 18. Its ISBN is 9781534364950; the regular paperback’s ISBN is 9781534361348. Those identifiers and the two dates

matter when ordering: a bookstore listing for December does not necessarily contradict the earlier specialist-shop release. The announcement offers a new collected route into the series.
