Peter Sarsgaard joins Kenneth Branagh in Paramount+ Scottish drama Laird

Sarsgaard will play an American tech billionaire targeting Highland land in the series from Jez and John-Henry Butterworth.

Peter Sarsgaard will star opposite Kenneth Branagh in Laird , a new Paramount+ drama set in the Scottish Highlands. Paramount announced the casting on September 25 and says the series will premiere globally and exclusively on its service; it has not announced a release date. The announcement centres the drama on land acquisition, family feuds and buried secrets, setting an international billionaire against a Highland family.
