No Man’s Sky Cosmos adds owned space stations and player alliances

Hello Games’ free Cosmos update expands space exploration with salvageable hulks, modular star bases and stations players can own.

No Man’s Sky has released its Cosmos update on PS5, expanding the space between planets with new places to explore and build. Hello Games announced the free update on September 9. A solar-system map helps players locate outposts, anomalies and salvageable space hulks. Wrecks can be stripped for resources, but taking

too much risks an explosion. Outposts provide trading, information and missions, while some require biological hazards to be cleared. Building also moves further into space. Players can construct modular bases, use suitable asteroids as foundations and purchase a system’s space station. Owned stations can be decorated

and used as meeting places for alliances. The update also introduces an anniversary expedition whose milestones revisit features from earlier updates.
