Nexus creators fund a 350-page history of the cult comic

The creators of Nexus are crowdfunding an oversized history of their science-fiction comic for its 45th anniversary. The official Nexus: WHAT IT IS! campaign says the book will bring together more than 350 pages of art, interviews and material from the series' archive. Pledges close October 1, 2026 at 20:00 UTC . story behind Horatio Hellpop Writer Mike Baron and artist Steve Rude created Nexus in 1981. Their retrospective promises unpublished material, early concepts and accounts from editors and collaborators about how the comic survived changes in publishers and plans. The proposed 9-by-12-inch format is designed to give the

artwork space; the creator says every edition has the same interior pages, while covers and extras vary. What readers receive now The campaign offers immediate access to a digital Nexus reading library with a qualifying pledge. The new physical book itself is still in production, with May 2027 given as an estimated
