Marvel’s Wolverine hotfix dims Scent Trails and Audio Sense
Insomniac's September 19 hotfix reduces two sensory indicators and addresses crashes; optional controls remain under consideration.
Insomniac Games deployed Marvel’s Wolverine hotfix v1.001.005 on September 19 , targeting both stability and a prominent interface complaint. Its official patch note says the update addresses common crashes affecting a small percentage of players and reduces the opacity of the Scent Trails and Audio Sense indicators,
making those visuals less intense. The patch does not add an on/off control. Insomniac says it is still evaluating ways to improve Senses and is exploring toggleable options for a future update; that is under consideration, not a confirmed feature or release date. GamesRadar’s same-day report described player
complaints about the guiding visuals, while discussion on r/PS5 shows the change drew mixed reactions. The news peg is the post-launch patch itself: players can check the current PS5 version and Insomniac’s notes, while anyone waiting for a complete toggle should treat it as a possibility still being explored.
