John Green earns Guinness record after signing 875,557 book tip-ins

Penguin Random House says Green is the record holder for most author-signed tip-in sheets, with a certificate presented during his current book tour.

John Green is now the Guinness World Records title holder for the most tip-in sheets signed by an author, with 875,557 signed sheets, Penguin Random House announced on September 25. Green received the certificate at a September 22 event at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre while touring for his novel Hollywood, Ending ,

according to the publisher's announcement. Tip-in sheets are signed pages inserted into books. PRH says Green has also signed large quantities of first-printing sheets for several earlier titles. Its announcement frames the Guinness record as an author-signing achievement; it does not claim that 875,557 individual
