Heroes of Magic & Cards folds poker hands into a fantasy roguelike

First Day Games' deck-building adventure arrives on Xbox, letting players alter card values and suits to shape combat combinations.

Heroes of Magic & Cards asks what happens when a fantasy character's weapons are the cards in their hand. First Day Games' single-player poker roguelike joins the Xbox release list today, with Forever Entertainment publishing the console version. In the official description, players select a class, move through

encounters and collect relics and enchantments. Those upgrades can alter a card's numerical value or suit, clone it or add an effect such as poison. Improving a hand therefore changes both conventional poker combinations and the abilities available in a fight. That gives the deck-building loop a specific tactical

question: strengthen the current hand, or reshape the deck so strong hands become more likely later. The Xbox listing supports Xbox One and Series X|S through Smart Delivery.
