Knights Peak and Windup Games explain how the mouse adventure's recipe system drives exploration ahead of its December 1 release.

Hela: of Mice & Magic has shown how its recipe book is meant to tie exploration to progress. In a September 24 developer and publisher deep dive, Knights Peak and Windup Games say players gather ingredients in forests, meadows and wetlands, then return to the witch's cottage to make remedies. Those remedies are more

than collectible recipes in the studio's description. Some aid the forest's people and creatures; others improve abilities, solve puzzles or open new routes. The intended loop is to travel, gather, brew and revisit places with a different way through. The announcement explains the design goal, but it does not establish

how satisfying that loop feels in play; Mythscribe has not tested the game. December format and platforms The same announcement dates the game for 1 December 2026. It lists digital and limited Harmony Edition physical versions for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, plus digital-only versions for Xbox

Series S and PC. Players who want a boxed copy should check the platform and territory of the retail listing before ordering, because the post does not promise a physical edition on every machine. The mouse adventure can be played alone or with others, according to the publisher. Its distinctive promise is a small

character helping a witch care for the land while using gathered materials to reshape exploration. The new explanation provides a better basis for assessing that promise than a release date alone. Headline image: official Hela key art supplied by Microids for the game announcement.
