Genesis opens a Le Mans Ultimate route into its esports team

An eight-week qualifier beginning 6 October will lead to four December races, with the series winner offered a GMR Esports team place.

Genesis Magma Racing is giving Le Mans Ultimate drivers a defined route toward its official esports roster. The newly announced GMR Esports Series begins with eight weeks of online qualifying on 6 October and ends with four races in December. Genesis says the winning driver will join its manufacturer-backed esports

team. Qualifying takes place in the game's Online Championship tab, with a different free-to-play circuit each week. Drivers use the virtual GMR-001 Hypercar and may enter up to three races weekly; their best six weeks count. The official series guide says the top 20 global drivers and top ten registered Korean drivers

progress to the final phase. December's programme has three 45-minute sprint races and a two-hour Le Mans finale. Dynamic-weather wildcards are intended to test adaptation, not only outright lap speed. The first qualifying venue is Sebring, followed by Fuji and Monza. Drivers should use Genesis's linked entry hub for
