Gears of War: E-Day gives 500 Los Angeles fans an early hands-on event

Xbox's September 30 Hollywood and Vine event offers early play to the first 500 eligible guests, with an adults-only, first-come entry policy.

Xbox is holding a one-night Gears of War: E-Day event at Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles on September 30. Its official event guide lists a 3–10 p.m. Pacific programme, with guests able to queue from noon Pacific. The event is scheduled ahead of the game's early-access launch; it is not a general public release of the

game. Xbox says the first 500 guests will have the chance to play early, alongside themed food, giveaways and a large Emergence Hole and Corpser installation. Admission is first come, first served and restricted to adults aged 18 or older. Wearing Gears of War merchandise qualifies a guest for a faster line but does

not override the capacity limit. People considering a visit should read the organiser's full details and allow for local queues and any event changes.
