Solo developer Rohan's three-year project launches today, turning worries about a naughty dog into a playful 3D adventure.

What does a dog do when no one is watching? Doggy Don't Care answers by letting the player become the troublemaker. The 3D adventure launches on Steam today after three years of development by solo creator Rohan. In a developer announcement on Steam, Rohan explains that anxiety about getting a dog became the game's

starting idea: chewed furniture, upset neighbours and household chaos could all become playful acts instead of worries. The result stars an adorable, mischievous pup let loose in a world built for exploring and misbehaving. The project has appeared at smaller and larger showcases, including PAX Australia, SXSW Sydney

and Day of the Devs. Those appearances gave it a public path to today's full release, but the interesting story remains a personal one: a single developer turned a recognisable fear into a game about enjoying the dog's point of view. The Steam page has the current regional availability. Headline image: Doggy Don't Care
