Digger begins international cinema rollout ahead of October 2 North American release

Warner Bros. says Alejandro G. Iñárritu's Tom Cruise film begins opening internationally September 30, with North America following October 2.

Digger begins its international theatrical rollout on September 30, according to Warner Bros.' official film site. The same source gives October 2 for North American cinemas and says the film will play in theatres and IMAX. It does not provide an individual opening date for every country, so viewers should check local

listings before travelling. Alejandro G. Iñárritu directed the original film, with Tom Cruise in the title role. Warner Bros. describes its central figure as a powerful man trying to prove he can save humanity from a disaster he has unleashed. The announced cast also includes Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller,

Michael Stuhlbarg and Jesse Plemons. The studio says the film was shot entirely in VistaVision, with Emmanuel Lubezki as director of photography. The official promotional artwork used here carries the North American October 2 date; that date is specific to the North American release, while the studio describes the

international rollout as beginning September 30. Headline image: official Digger film-site promotional artwork, courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures.
