Alex Robins has unveiled the cover of The City of Grief and Pain , the final volume of his Mothers of Sorrow trilogy. The author’s September 8 announcement confirms an October 22 release. A prequel trilogy reaches its finale Andrew Maleski’s cover places two figures amid purple magic and a fiery landscape. The artwork

accompanies a continuation that sends the search for missing companions beyond Keselgraad and into conflicts between other lands. This is book three of a prequel trilogy connected to The War of the Twelve . That series context matters more than the word “prequel”: readers joining here would be starting at the
