Apple TV dates Hugh Laurie's crime drama The Wanted Man for January 2027

George Kay's eight-episode series begins globally on January 6, with two episodes at launch and weekly releases after that.

Apple TV has set January 6, 2027, for the global premiere of The Wanted Man , an eight-episode crime drama starring Hugh Laurie. The September 24 first-look announcement says the first two episodes arrive together, followed by one each Wednesday through February 17. Laurie plays Felix Carmichael, an organised-crime

boss betrayed by an insider and sent to Staplehurst prison. Apple's synopsis says he turns to escape as his family, business and fortune are at stake. George Kay, creator of Hijack and Lupin , created and leads the series. Thandiwe Newton, Fionn Whitehead, Gina McKee, Hazel Doupe, Elliott Heffernan and Stephen Dillane

also star. New Pictures and Kay's Observatory Pictures co-produce the drama. The announced schedule gives viewers the first two chapters at launch, then a weekly run of six episodes.
